Kathak Courses
Kathak is a classical dance form hailing from North India, which has now established firm roots in the city of Pune, Maharashtra; thanks to Guru Dr Rohini Bhate. Taking her legacy forward, we follow a pedagogy divided into a 7 step format.
Our courses are designed for all age groups. Children aged 6 onwards as well as adults, hobbyists, art enthusiasts and people looking for a serious career in dance are most welcome!
We also offer online courses for individuals situated in and out of the country.

My daughter Adrita learns kathak basics from Guru Siddhi tai from Sukruti kathak Academy. Siddhi and Guru Manisha tai's devotion in teaching is mind blowing. Siddhi guides every student with very keen attention. Her innovative teaching methods keeps the young learners hooked up in this traditional dance form. There is scope for free dialog and discussions with the teachers. The environment is friendly and open. Number of students in one class is limited and batch timings are convenient.
For last 14 years, I have been a part of Sukruti Kathak Dance Academy as a parent to two daughters learning kathak with Guru Maneesha Abhay and Siddhi Abhay. The Gurus and overall ideology of Sukruti has inculcated immense love, respect and interest for this classical art form not just for the disciples but for us in the family. Maneesha Tai is always vigilant about attention to details, focus on practice and grace in the performance! Being disciple of this institute and to Maneesha Tai has helped my daughters not just learn the art and get the certifications, but grow as an artist who is sensitive, thoughtful and ever ready to absorb and practice! The way Tai inspires teenagers and young artists is really commendable!
