Our Work

Shakti

Shakti, the sacred feminine is the first joint project by Siddhi Abhay and Maneesha Abhay. It takes the audience through the mystic yet inspiring world of the true, free feminine. The energy and synergy that exists in each one of us, the inspiration that portrays itself through freedom and expression is the key of this project.

The feminine, soft and subtle, yet intelligent; when devoid of her freedom transforms into the fierce Kaali. This production encompasses various elements of Sadhana, Dance and expression which makes it diverse and rich.

Shiv Tandav

This is one of our most loved and appreciated thematic work. It explores the 7 aspects of Shiva's Tandav Nritya. A widely appreciated 50 minute production journeys through the mystical world of Lord Shiva.

Nirantar

Nirantar was a celebration of our 30th anniversary. We started it with a performance highlighting the unique interaction and flavour that each accompanying instrument brings to Kathak.

Sukruti has always extended invitations to various artists from all over India in an attempt to bring art closer and to make it accessible. Our 30th year was graced by the dynamic presence of Shri Vishal Krishna of Banaras Gharana.

Itiha

Taking inspiration from the rich and diverse legacy of Guru Rohini Bhate, we staged "Itiha". A showcase of the age old traditions and the changing landscape of Kathak, the show traversed through various aspects of Kathak and was well appreciated.

Krishnayan

Krishnayan, a ballet comprising of different Leela's of Shri Krishna, a dream project of Guru Rohini Bhate. With storytelling at the forefront of this thematic presentation, it smoothly glides through the ever evolving and value oriented stories of Lord Krishna.

Ekaldhyaas

Ekaldhyaas, our yearly initiative, is a vibrant platform dedicated to nurturing the dreams of young, aspiring dancers. Grounded in the rich tradition of Kathak, we emphasise the beauty of solo performances, allowing each dancer to their individuality while preserving the art form's nuances and performing with live musician ensemble.
